lol Hacker...

I just realized I spelled Slipknot wrong, too! I've hear a little bit of the other band the singer sings for...Stone Sour, is that right? He does have an amazing voice. AND, I LOVE Paul Oakenfold....go speed racer...:) I haven't heard that much, but loved what I heard. I love the heavy stuff, too.....Manson, Pantera, Metallica, COC, and I've been listening to the Future Leaders of the World lately, really good. It all depends. When I'm writing, like for Gidget, I'm usually listening to soul or R&B....Joss Stone, Alicia Keys, Erikah Badu. I'm pretty versatile, blues is good, some jazz.....all about the mood....

You like Slipknot! YOU ROCK! DJ Sid is the master of all things turntables. He doesn't get many good parts in Slipknot songs, but you can find stuff he does solo. Holy cow amazing. So, hip hop and trance-ish stuff eh? Hip hop is definitely the booty shaking music. I don’t really listen to much hip hop, but it’s what I scratch to, so I’m somewhat familiar =P. Trance-ish stuff I know a little better. In fact I’m listening to Paul Oakenfold right now. A lot of people think he’s not all that good, but I get lost in his music, so I can’t complain too much. My roommate’s girlfriend can’t stand the music, so I play it nice and loud for her =P

I like to take in a good live band

every now and then. Don't get me wrong, I totally prefer staying home to going out. But sometimes, there's nothing like a good live band. I hope you had a great time, and didn't pull any muscles. Sometimes it doesn't hurt until the next day. lol, take care :)

Ah, Hacker, to pick favorite music is like to pick a favorite child....

I guess, if I had them....or for me, pick a favorite cat. Music always depends on mood and activity. I love Slipnot, by the way. LOVE it. But, for booty shakin'....most often it's going to be hip hop and rap because I love language, lyrics, vocals, and I hear those songs the most, so they provoke a mood.....but, there are times when it's all about losing yourself in sound and then it's trance, hypnotica, even some electronica (shhhhhh, don't tell!).....and I have some great house mixes, hot bass, thumping beat, some vocals....

When I wrote this, I was being inspired by, "Let's Get it Started," by the Black Eyed Peas. In music, we are all equal, free, loved and safe. :)

Live like it's the last day...
