I think I have, now, quit revising...
There is a difference between revision that is improvement and revision that is just change. I think I am done making improvements... I intend to print out all 679 pages tomorrow, and pack it off before I can start reading it again!
This morning I woke with a dream that led to 4 pages of notes for a new novel... I can't start seriously playing in that playground until I close the gate on this one...

Quit revising Ciel. I sent him off to a writing mentor to iron out a few problems which was great

MayB, here's a suggestion for your writer husband:
Get thee to a Writer's Conference! Pay what it costs to get agents to review your first pages and give you a brief but focussed consult... Nothin works like face-to-face!
After fruitless experiences with queries, I found two agents interested at the first such conference I went to. I am now on the very edge of the fringe of the verge of sending the complete ms off to the first of them... If only I could stop revising!
Good luck to both you writers!

Mike Tyson in a remake of "The Sixth Sense".
Or, "Da Sixsss Sense".
We all seethe once in a while. Each day.

MerryAnne, yes in some ways it would be easier that way however at least we understand the challenges and the slow phases (most of the time)

You know, MayB - I sometimes wonder if the life of any couple is really well balanced as far as work output and income gendered.no matter what employ. I'm sure there must be a few but it doesn't seem like many. May you soon be blessed with the work you enjoy and lots of money coming in.

MayB - this is a hard thing you're dealing with--I'm glad I don't live
with a fellow writer--I lived with my father for 18 years--an editor and a writer--and that was by far enough for me. We writer's are a tough lot to stomach sometimes. You have my sympathy and admiration both.

What writers need is like the commercials we see for
"Starving Artist Sale" a way to make a buck

You should print this post and frame it. When your name is splashed all over the best-seller's lists, you can look back at it and laugh.
