I love it...
I was laughing out loud and my son wanted to know why... I declined to tell him more than "Someone pulled a practical joke on her brother." He wanted details....but he does not need any help with this sort of thing.

Better, I suggest, would have been to make him think he was mad. Say, remove all the clocks in the house in the night and install sundials. When he asks about the clocks, look bewildered and say, "what's a clock?"... You'd need some strategic plants to back you up... if he had to call someone to tell him he was being pranked, who would he ring up?... Mm, public clocks could be a problem, if you live in the city, eh...
Difficult to pull of though. Ah, sorry, it's just anything like this gets my evil little imagination turning...

JJ, It was VERY hard not to crack up. M almost did a couple times
but he got through it. Funny thing that my brother has an IQ of a genius (or just on the borderline, I think) yet we were able to fool him. However, as you know, I actually
do have some legitimate flowers in the attic and my brother has seen that all my life. That's how I was more confident in my attempt pull this off.
