Lovely
With your determination and strength, your vision of Russia will happen. Now when you fly there, at least from the lower eastern 48, you fly over the north pole. You land in Moscow, and fly on to Siberia. My associates tell me this route is by far the most rewarding as the Northern Lights come into play... this is one flight I wouldn't want to fall asleep on...Good luck, I know you'll make it happen...

Lovely Lady...l'm so glad you enjoy your studies.
Your description of the sounds of the language to you is interesting, not crazy. Have a good one!

Looks like you have a knack for the Russian langage.
Don't laugh well do laugh...because laughter has always sounded like music to me. (we will hide from the men in the whte coats together)

Hello Darrke...

Yes, I do love Russian.  I've been wanting to go to Russia for as long as I can remember.  I also long to see Poland.

God bless you.

It sounds like you really love the language.  I am one of those who doesn't even know what English sounds like coming out of my own mouth.  (Can't recognize my own voice on a tape recording...)

MayB...

So glad to meet you at last.  I'm sure you wouldn't sound as bad as you say.  To me, Russian sounds beautiful no matter whose tongue it fall off of.  You've been to St. Petersberg?  How wonderful for you!!!  I hope to see Russia one day.

I'm so pleased you liked my analogies...I'm flattered...God bless you.

Lovelyladymonk, my problem with languages is that I can hear what I sound like and it isn't like a violin unless it is out of tune ones.

I loved the descriptiveness of this post. The analogies you draw are great. The only Russian I know are the words, vodka and Pravda, glasnost and I once spent an hour in transit at Moscow airport and oh, best of all I have seen the beauty of St Petersburg in the snow from the air--twice.
