Wham, I feel sorry for both of them,
especially the dog. Gators usually stay away from humans but if they start being fed by us, they don't. People just don't get it.

C'mon now SpitFire,

That poor woman was traumatized enough by the loss of her dog and almost getting eaten herself.  Everyone out there is a Victim!

And what is the matter with feeding a poor, hungry, wild alligator?  Don't they have to eat, too?

****You make some very good points!  The one I feel most sorry for here is the dawg for having such an incompetent owner.****

spiffy,

Hammerhead Deluxe Vacations!

Hey!  Take a vacation out west, at Glorious Yellowstone park!  Feed the bears that come up to your car windows!  When they turn your car over, don't get out!  If they tear your window out or rip the door off, spank them with a rolled up newpaper.  Be safe.  Keep a rolled up paper on the front seat.

Later, if you don't end up in ER, head up to the camping areas, where you can keep an open ice chest in your tent at night.  Again, keep a rolled up paper by your sleeping bag.

Be sure to plan for a trip to Alaska for next summer.  We will be visiting the remarkable pygmy bears of Kodiak island.  Bring plenty of baloney! (and some paper to roll)

I can't believe someone would go swimming in a river with alligators!
