Spivida again, Cass...
Interesting you should mention this...Bubka is the Polish word for Grandma and I believe Bushka the Polish word for Grandpa...Now at last, I know that the words are entirely different in the two languages...Because I easily get confused, I once thought they were the same...They'd hate that!!
Have a great night!!!!

Grandfather is "da - dush- ka" with the "da" emphasised. I remember this because as a small child I couldnt pronounce the whole word so called my grandfather "dadu". I called my grandmother "babu" for the same reason. lol Sorry, I can't remember the other words.

Cass...Do you happen to remember how to pronouce the following words:
Father?
Grandfather?
Great-Grandfather?
If you should remember, could/would you please post them here for me? Wacky tried her best to help me out, but for some reason I couldn't actually see the word. If you could possibly help me out, I'll be forever grateful to you!!!!
I promised Paul I'd teach him if I ever learned the words...
Spivida, my friend...God bless.

I learnt a smattering of Russian as a child, enough to know how to pronounce things etc. I went to a play based on some of Chekov's characters and the actors pronounciation was appalling! No-one knew but me...
