I would think that teaching english to immigrants could be funny. Slang is hard to understand. A midnight postman-thats good. Ans don't ya figure-Smart gets all kinds of awards but canned as a teacher-I guess the students loose.

Hummm...The Education of H*Y*M*A*N K*A*P*L*A*N
Has been on my Mom's bookshelf for a long time. It seems like I read it a long time ago. May have to look it over next time I dust the shelves.

Me, too, Gypsy.
I'm drawn to things labeled "dark," so he looks interesting.  I'm also going to have to check out Glenway Westcott.  He's from Wisconsin, and I have never heard of him, so that's a must!  Thanks for reading; hope you are improving every day.
