Pope John Paul II
has reduced the required number of miracles to just one. Miracles are a sign from God on behalf of the person who is being advanced to the altar showing that he or she is indeed to be venerated in His Church. Mother Teresa's process is still underway.

In order to be a saint don't you have to have done certian things. Like perform a "miracle" or something. I vaguely remember reading something about it a while ago. Was Mother Theresa made a saint? Or was there controversy about that? Darn memory!
