That part of history has always fascinated me. As for the Polish, I only know a little...Nearly got to travel to Poland once, to a little town called Brwinow...Sadly, it didn't work out. I'd still love to go one day, though! At the moment, I'm also studying Russian and German....We'll see how it works out!!

Loveladymonk, I like it. It works. I think the scene is set perfectly, it is clear and I can even feel the cold of the weather and the rain. Your grasp of the European cultures and languages is startling.
