A modern, progressive farmer in Ireland was asked if he believed
in the Little People, and he said, "Ah, no indeed of course I don't! But they're there..."

FactorF, feel free to eavesdrop anytime!
Or just join in!! I know, that sleep thing. I hate it. Such a waste of time. I wish I never had to sleep. Imagine all the stuff we could accomplish if we didn't have to!

Temple,
Not sure if my website is down, I'll have to check it. All I do know is ever since my computer crashed in Dec., I haven't been able to use my editoring program for it. It has text overlapping and I can't fix it!! It's driving me crazy.
Anyway, I do need to talk to you about the $ thing, but I'll privately email you cause I don't want to do that in here.
Hope you got some zzzzz's!!

Sorry Temple and Spitfire,
I have been eavesdropping on your comments...but only because I find it interesting! Personally I wish I didn't have to sleep at all, but that doesn't work

one of these days, we'll have to talk more about this witchy business....
I struggled with my religion, Irish Catholic, and walked away (it took 10 years). Along the way I studied wicca, pagan everything, goddess worship, Native American spirituality, and Buddhism....mostly. Those were things that always called to me. Non-judgmental, peaceful, and I grew up close to a Navajo reservation and I loved the peaceful, wise ways of my friends there. I always believed I had some connection to witchcraft, or some (forgive me) sixth sense. But I think we all could, and might one day, if we'd learn to get out of our heads and open up....be present....not judge. As I studied, I realized I was already a Buddhist, I just didn't know it. I was reincarnated apparently. :) I knew it as I read it, but wiccan ways and native american ways are still a part of my spiritual make up. They are deeply rooted spiritual ways of being connected to the earth, to each other. I don't know if I'm a witch, but I know what you mean when you say you knew. My Mom says I was psychic as a kid, and people say that to me now. I wish I could control it if that's true!
I think I will try to sleep before the sun. Tomorrow's the day I have to turn in the money I don't have to the landlord, still $200 short. I'll overdraw my bank account with my overdraft protection and figure it out after I guess....but two days with no sleep, I can't write anymore. By the way, I just wrote a keyword article, a little story, using the name Scarlett. :) I forgot that was Spitfire too. Is your website down? I couldn't get onto it....

Temple, HELL YEAH, that has happened to me!
Thank God I started at my current animal hospital 10 years ago. He needed me as much as I needed him. (My boss)
I basically come and go as I please, but I do a good job for the hospital and a great percentage of them have mentioned how they would be so upset if I was no longer around. **flattering smile**
As you know, I'm adopted from birth, but I do know that I am from Native American, Irish, and English decent from both of my b-parents. I've known I was a witch since I can remember. Mom is more of a believer of that than even I am!

Ahhh, I totally I understand.
When left to my own devices I always resort to what I call "vampire time." Now that I'm freelancing, I write until the sun comes up, then go to bed. Although, ideally, I'd like to go to bed and get up a little earlier....but I'm still trying to not get evicted and I don't have the money I need....so, stress is good for keeping you up a lot. I figure, if I'm not going to sleep, I might as well write. I found things that help with the insomnia (under normal conditions) because I'm an insomniac, too. My Mom says that our ancestors are all witches and pagans, clear back to Irish and Scotch-Irish days before there was Christianity over there. I wonder if that's why. Hmmmmm... Or, maybe we're all just mad! Something about the night brings out my creative side....I've always written at night, no matter what.
I always got in trouble with "real" jobs because I would finally get tired in the early morning and be late (or absent) for work. That doesn't happen to you?

Temple,
I'm up late and up early! See, being a witch and all, ever since I can remember, I’ve been nocturnal. My mom has always wondered why, too, but it’s funny this subject came up cause Mom just mentioned to me last week that her friends would often ask why I was still awake when they were over or on the phone with her and she told them that, “She goes to sleep when she gets tired enough.”
Same thing still stands now, though I’ve been pretty much an insomniac since I was a little girl. Not much has changed. Oooooohh, scawy witchy thing, maybe…..BOO!

Spiffy,
I ran those little turds off the last time I was there, and they said they weren't coming back. What gives? Next time I'm there, I'll get a little more rought with them. I thought about throwing them in the sharkbait bucket--maybe this time I will. Be careful around them; those little suckers have a bite you wouldn't believe.
Yer Pining Love......
