Falls are dangerous for older people as their bones are brittle. They take longer to heal too.

Whacky, I'll bet your mom wa scared. My mother fell three days before Christmas and she's still in sub-acute care. That's betwee the hospital and home. Two more weeks and my mom can come homw. We sprang her two weeks ago, but it was too early and they took her back.

This made me think of when..
..my grandmother had a heart attack. Of course, she is all right now, but I couldn't think of the number to call for 9-1-1. I know that sounds completely ridiculous and there are many comedy skits saying the same thing, but where my grandmother lives it isn't that far-fetched. See, they had just recently changed the phone number to call for emergencies and I was only say, eight years old (that had made the 3rd time the number had been changed, but it's 911 now). I don't know why that made me think of this, other than my grandmother also fell not long ago too. Chain thoughts I suppose.
Glad to hear that your mother is ok.

Whacky - So glad it wasn't worse. I'm glad though that she went to the E.R. and was checked. You would never have forgiven yourself if she had broken her hip and you didn't know it.

Your mom is extremely blessed to have you as a daughter, Wacky...You're truly wonderful!! Blessings to you. I hope your mom will be feeling better soon. I'll keep her in my prayers. Get some sleep!
