Rest easy, I have no illusions as to whether anything I say or do here in this comment section will have any affect on your thinking. After all, THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD. I encourage you, however, to OPEN YOUR EYES, to listen, to UNDERSTAND what others say to you, as all discussion has value regardless your beliefs. You are intelligent, you know that the truth isn't always right there on the surface.

I never understood the "play it safe" thing, either.  I remember unicorn/PastorB saying something to the effect of "Wouldn't it be better to believe just to be safe?"  And I remember thinking how awful that statement is, especially coming from someone like her.  I've already accepted that if I'm going to end up in hell (which I don't believe in) for having the wrong belief or whatever, then so be it.  I'm not going to live a lie.

Keep the Faith--

Kooka, you are amazing--Keep your faith, in yourself, in humanity.  The world needs men and women like you to express sanity, real morals and your right to free exercise of your "religious" views.  I've missed reading your posts--I'll catch up now.

Peace,

Freerain

I really do not believe in God at all. If there is some kind of higher power out there, it is nothing at all like the Biblical ideas of God. Of that I have no doubt whatsoever. If there is something out there it really should not even be called God or a god. It would be a part of the universe same as us and all in all calling it a 'Higher being' would be wrong. The concept of a any kind of all-knowing, all-powerful being does not work at all.

Kooka, my man...

Give this a read, if you please: http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/Elmubarak8774/229257

It is the story (partial, as I have some limited self-respect) of how I was awakened to God's Reality in my life.  It is long, I warn you.  But something tells me that you either know God and won't recognize Him, or that you just love twisting titty.  If I am right on either guess, I don't expect that you'd admit it here.

Anyway, like reading ya.

Kooka -

While I don't agree with you, I respect a man that stands up for what he believes in (or doesn't believe in, as the case may be).
