I can honestly say I am not getting anything noticeable back from taxes that is going to help just because I have two sons. Bush has not done a single tax break that has really helped out the average person. He has proven, many times he has no real clue about money by showing he does not understand just how much money it takes for things like health care and family. That was just one of Bush little BS things not make him look good, that has not helped out at all really. The only people I know of who were happy with that were the ones who are so poor that a few hundred more dollars does help them, but that still has not helped them really.

I have been gone, but I caught the comments on this and I thought I would
weigh in on one good thing Bush has done, at least for me. I have stock in a very large energy company that has nothing to do with Bush. He or his family own no stock in the firm. The stock doubled, spilt, and then doubled again. I think the stock will split again soon. The projections for the stock and profits are astronomical for the next three to five years. I would suggest looking at the situation and positioning yourself to take advantage of the opportunities that are out there. I don't think George Bush had anything to do with this, but you say he has helped the big boys out, but he has also helped this little boy out also.

Keep on dancing there. If you can not give even one example, even if you think I would disagree with it, then you are admitting that he has done nothing. It matters not what excuse you use. If he truly did something good for the country, then I would not be able to disagree with it. Since you are clearly saying all of what you believe to be good deeds are not going to ne seen as such by me, then you are very much saying that he has done nothing for the country. As always I am giving people who disagree with me a great chance to prove me wrong and all they are doing is dancing around the issue and giving excuses as to why they can not prove me wrong, while still claiming I am wrong.

As ever, Kooka, twisting my words.
I have admitted to nothing.  Like I said, this is an exercise in futility.

So you are admitting that he has done nothing to help the whole country out, just those who are gaining form his actions? I am glad you admit it at least. Otherwise I would not be able to disagree with them if there really had helped the country out.
I would love to see your list though and your defense as to why those actions should be considered good for the country.

Bush has helped

big business - lifted rules for environment and worker benefit

religious tyrants - working to raise the profile of the Christian religion

bigots -- working for a gay marriage ban

Hallibutron -- to the tune of 100's of k in overbilling

Defense contractors who have needed a boost -- by using up all that weaponry that  has been lying around unused for decades -- now we can buy more to replace what we've used in Iraq and Afghanistan and the defense industry can thrive.

everyone else?  -- check out my blog 19th Century Republicans -- demonstrates how Bushie is taking us back to the days when corporatoins reigned supreme and common workers and regular people got  the short shrift.

Ironically --
the very examples I would give showing Bush to have helped this country will be statements villified and slandered and ridiculed by you.  So why bother?  We are polar opposites on most subjects, and this is an exercise in futility.

I am not saying he is pure evil, although I have heard some great arguments for him being the antichrist, which have made alt od sense to me.
I did not call him pure evil, I just pointed out that he has yet to do anything to help the country. All of his actions have been based around personal agendas to help him and his supporters profit. He is just a greedy, worthless SOB with no morals whatsoever.

nothing off the top of my head

but your just as assanine as they are...

the man had to have done SOMETHING productive... it's not like he's a walking force of evil for christ's sake

Have fun trying to change someone's mind that way....

That's like a Jew screaming to a Christian, "Christ never did a damned thing that was special! He was horrible! You are idiots! Please, come join our religion."

Just doesn't work

I am with you on this, kooka_lives.
Let's see it.  And no matter what evidence is proffered, there is no way they can defend the rewriting of the Clean Air Act, not signing the Kyoto accord, or the last bit of legislation Dubya signed that made it extraordinarily difficult for class action suits to be filed.  Has anyone forgotten that Dubya's 2000 campaign was largely contributed to by Enron, and what a great bunch of guys those corporate sociopaths turned out to be.  Yes, indeed, this should be interesting.
