I couldn't agree more. I have seen others get into some harsh arguments and have seen some nasty comments now and then, but that just shows how "real" it is here. (A lot like real life behaviors.) But I try to stay out of the gang-ups on this one or that one as much as possible. I think about 95% of Blogit is great and I think that most of us, especially the veterans, can attest to that, too. You're awesome and I love reading you. But you already knew that!

Wow! I am not worthy!
SYMPHONY that post was a real treasure. It said so well so many of the things I feel as a contributor to Blogit. I would like to say "Ditto!"to all of it especially that we need to treat each other with respect.
I suspect that most of us can lay claim to a rocky start in life. I am living in heaven now, and I see no reason for that end. Some other life of mine was 'hell'. But it is not this one. I love you all.
I hate pointing fingers at anyone except to bring attention to their need or that they are deserving of approbation for some of as many reasons I can think of.
I am engraving upon my soul the words 'If you can't say anything nice...', it all becomes a happy habit .
At some point the anger stops and the loving begins.

Symphony - thanks for your thoughts.
We'll be fine! It's already hit a couple of the smaller communities - many without power, but cyclones are a part of life here in the tropics - but it's something you never get used to.

I've been busy - life has taken over (school, home, the dogs etc) and at the moment we are gearing up for a cyclone. We're still on a warning which means that destructive winds could hit anytime in the next 24 hours. The house is packed and we had winds of 120km an hour during the night. The schools are shut as a precaution today and it's 430am and I still haven;t slept. The wind makes me restless. The cyclone is 120km away at the moment. It was 60km away yesterday but you never know which way it will go. Tired, stressed out - the supermarket shelves were bare when we went to prepare our cyclone kit. People were even opening the boxes on the ground that hadn;t been stacked on the shelves yet! The last time there was a cyclone of this size, it totally flattened Darwin and the city had to be rebuilt. Should be ok this time round, but you never know!

Those were beautiful thoughts. I read you regularly, but I will try to get by more often. You are a very loving person, and that is a most important thing in life. I'm sorry you are ill, but sometimes, if it isn't serious, being laid up for a short time can actually be pleasant. I hope your recent problems are pretty well resolved. If you look for someone to be with, just make sure they are as nice as you. You will live happily ever after.
