Thanks for reading, Original and Frankie,
I've heard the weather is worse in Chicago because of the winds off the lake. Milwaukee has a similar problem. We live north and west of Chicago, and it's not so bad. . . as long as you like snow.

I lived in Chicago once.
A Raisin in the Sun was part of the cirriculum in Chicago. If there is place with weather that is as bad as the Northeast, it's got to be Chicago. I lived in Massachusetts too. Take care :)

Ah, yes, the Donner Party.
Thanks for reading, Thomas. So, we have Frankenstein in common. That's nice.

I've seen a Raisin in the Sun but I can't remember how it ended. The Color of Water is another good book with a different look at life. Mentioning all those storms helps remember the Donner Party. And yes, I like Frankenstein.

Am awaiting Hitchikers move. I thought those books
were so funny. But now I'm not sure, is the answer to life the universe and everything 47 or 49? may have to look it up.

I'm sure you're right.
We received another inch or two of snow yesterday, and people are complaining like crazy.

I'm almost willing to bet that the people
living on the east coast in 1888 thought the world was surely coming to an end.
