I totally agree.....word.smith
there has been two occassions where people were protesting outside a prison...really believeing the characters was in there....I cant get my head around how anybody would believe soaps were real....they are not real life at all....they are predictable....and its silly....

Symphony, things have got out of hand
when people are protesting for the rights of a character in a soap opera. I guess those people need to get a life.

yes, they do cover some awful topics, word.smith
there are many story lines going on now that I feel rather hurt about...I don't even have to watch them to know whats going on...because the newspapers....make a mountain out of a mohill......when one character was put in jail...people honestley....protested about it.....I think it goes to extreme...

Symph, I stopped watching
a long time ago - in my teens actually - because I found myself becoming anxious about the problems being faced by fictitional characters.

Guess you have!

You should hear folks here talk about the soap operas on the telly. To listen to them, you'd think these are actual people that they know. Too much TV will do that to ya.

I'm with word.smith. The television is a distraction. We only have one channel on our T.V. and you know, my litle girl reads more. She's not siiting in front of a box hypnotized. Turn that T.V. off Symphony.

It's an advantage to have your computer in a
place that you can make your own, but beware of the telly. It's a huge distraction if you're trying to concentrate.

It would be good to have a pc near a window. You can look out and rest your eyes often. The beauty outside is inspirational too.

Ooooh sweetie!
I wish you had been my mommy!
I'm glad you don't let kid noise freak you out. I loved it my kids never went overboard and we let them make as much noise as they wanted. I put ear plugs in a few times when I wanted to read. Why should I limit healthy play?
Good onya Sister SYMPHONY!!!

Now that you have your
place spic and span, how about dropping by and doing mine? I just can't understand why people need their tvs any longer when the entertaiment here is so much better. And this is reality live not pre taped and editted. Manana is what it's called here, there is always tomorrow.
