HolyGrail, today he couldn't climb up into the bleachers with the rest of
us and had to be lifted by Indian Vets, to reach our level, without using his arm. Cracked scapula and all.

I guess they figured since the dog wasn't aggressive they had nothing to worry about. Obviously they would be in the category of people who don't friggin think!! Hope the little one's shoulder heals nicely.

spitfire, no they said nothing intelligent. This is the same thing as
saying nothing. I fear that irresponsible pet owners are just that , irresponsible and there seems to be no teaching them. They said that he 'does this all the time'- too stupid for me to even comment on, when they said it.
I didn't take their info, as my son-in-law would have hit their house running and hurt somebody. He admitted as much to me, but I knew, I knew, no info for him to back track.

benzinha,
So often in my waiting room at the hospital, I have people come in without their dog on a leash. If I see that, I tell them to put the leash on or I give them one. I often hear, "Oh, he's good with other dogs." Great, but OTHER DOGS might not be good with HIM! Morons.

Hope your grandson is recovering well. Did those stupid owners even say anything or offer to pay for a doctor?

It's true, people can be very irresponsable with their animals, and there's never telling what a dog, even a friednly one, would do in an encounter.... they have their instinct and manners. See you!
