Gheeghee -- you're beginning to sound like Rainman by saying
the same thing 3 times, the same thing 3 times, the same thing 3 times..... this is definately not my room, I'm a very good driver.

Technically, wise men don't seek to prove God exists, for they know He does. They seek to FIND Him, which the Magi did. WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM.

Gheeghee - you are missing the point or more accurately depicting
my contention for me. Wise men seeking to prove or re-affirm the existence of a creator by applying abstract observations to solidify their conclusions is exactly why using the theory of intelligent design is bad science. You must also not be aware of the fact that the story of the Magi and a signature astrological anomoly is a re-occuring theme throughout mythology, both pre-dating and following Christ's birth. This of course is not widely taught within religious circles, the exclusion of this information becomes a detracting influence in drawing objective conclusions.

Quite meaningful to the post, actually. The magi were at the time considered very learned men; Astrologers, studiers of the stars, when astrology was considered a high form of science. These men saw evidence of a truth written in the stars as their science showed them, and followed their evidence to whatever end it led them. WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM.

Gheeghee -- nice catch phrase

Meaningless and irrelevant to this posting but nice nonetheless.

Magi saw the birth of the Christ child written in the stars: "...behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, "Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage."

WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM.

“and hence the story of creation.”

Nothing exists without having been created. All “planets” are basically shaped the same. The observed, may be in different stages of development…but they will end up basically round. Destroy a planet, and another (or more) will be created to replace it. As for the intelligence of design…just compare your choice of galaxies, and when it comes to differences…just remember stages of development. Galaxies may differ…but the basics remain the same.

As far as the scientific community is concerned…there is nothing atheistic about studying The Truth. If God is not The Truth…then why study it?

Truth is the only thing to study...
