What about Colonel Flag(g?), kingmi,
and the bumbling police chief on Soap?  Ah, the list is legion... And lampooning the military and the paramilitary is an art that not many master without taking it into the realm of the ludicrous.  Then there is the current shenanigans going on within the real live counterparts in the intelligence, military, and executive sections of our country, proving the old adage that truth is stranger (and sometimes funnier -- oh, and sometimes ridiculously disgraceful) than fiction.

Sadly, Glennb,

Hale is paying lip-service to what an atrocity the murders are.  And they are, but you know he's really loving it.  And, so far, nothing points in his direction, but, personally, I hope something does and it sticks.

Saul Relative,
The bigger crime is the media giving credibility to this supposed white supremacist geek! It woud give me a great target this clown in my face screaming "white power"!

Saul, That's why I love fiction -- Frank Burns, Leslie Slote, all those mor
ons from the John LeCarre books.  Its easy but funny!

Good one, kingmi.

I would go so far as to say this guy is a Frank Burns, dedicated, idealistic, sometimes a little slipshod with what he says.  But I am willing to bet they let him have more than one bullet and they're already in the clip.

Saul , Are we dealing with Barney Fife or Frank Burns here?
