I knew about the electrical impulses and EEG and such, I guess I just never put the two together. It certainly makes sense that our "antenna" could pick up a lot of stuff.

It's why electrodes on the skin can register an EEG. I've seen pictures of electrical activity in the brain that look just like lightening in the clouds. If that IS a part of our conciousness, then it might detect outside electrical influences, depending on how sensitive it is. Meditative states lessen our awareness of the body and the self, and make us more in tune with what comes to us from...elsewhere.

Critical mass is a possible concept of conciousness in humans. If enough neurons are firing there comes into being an electromagnetic field within the brain which is a secondary effect. Like a colony of birds living in the warmth of a lighted sign, a perhaps unlooked-for event brings a new variation to life.

i think now more than ever before people are opening to this type of thinking. i grew up thinking that Christ was actually going to reappear on earth; now i believe it is symbolic and happening right now. great post!
