- Go to Crockpot Oatmeal – Overnight yummy for your morning tummy
I am so glad...
That you enjoyed it! I just created a maple and brown sugar oatmeal that was pretty good. A friend brought me one of those little bottles of real maple syrup back from Vermont (about 6 ounces) so I used about half with 1/2 cup brown sugar with the basic recipe. It was really yummy!

Update
I made the peach cobbler oatmeal last night, and it was wonderful this morning. Used Splenda to sweeten it and canned peaches I had on hand, reduced the milk by 1/2 cup to allow for the yogurt. It was so yummy.

Oh Gypsy...Save your money love...
instant oatmeal is sooo expensive. The average 1/2 cup bowl of instant costs between 69 and 75 cents. The same bowl of crockpot oatmeal costs, even with all the goodies, less than 50 cents a bowl.

Hi Battler!
I hope your step dad enjoys them. I have no patience for sitting at a stove and cooking oatmeal (I get a kink in my neck...wheelchair is lower than the stove) so I was tickled when I figured out that you could make it in my crockpot. I only posted the recipes I normally use. I have about ten more variations I did not even post. I guess I'll have to do a follow up

Have sent these to my step dad
He loves porridge (as we call it here). Mum's always doing casseroles in the slow cooker (again UK term for crockpot as you know!) but she's never used it for this! The only thing is I'd hate to be the one doing the washing up!
