Instead of replying to you here, I wrote a post that more or less fits with a reply to your ideas. You won't like it one bit and will claim I am wrong, but you will not use any real debate tactics to defend why you believe I am wrong. Instead you will go and find some religious quote or say something truly meaningless such as 'open your eyes' and some such nonsense. You will show no respect whatsoever to ideas that do not agree 100% with your beliefs.

I often wonder what is the point to replying to you. You are keeping yourself blind and refusing to listen. I really need to stop wasting my blogging time replying to your comments, which often show you to be confused and hypocritical. To save myself time and effort I will have to only reply to your comments if they ar relevant and something more than you just saying 'You are wrong and I am right'. It should allow me a lot more time to do some real blogging.
Go and look at Pappy's comments and how he presents his beliefs to see a great example of how this can be done.

Prayer=Work.  Although many people seem to believe prayer=hot air.  I think that the faith a person has that their "prayer" has divine approval can help them recognize circumstances, or find the opportunity in a trial.

back to the subject
we all must take the initiative in whatever we do. We cannot rely on outside sources to do it all for us.
We must remember that Ben Franklin was speaking to a religious society, yet from a somewhat secular point of view --
he was helping people -- many probably used the phrase, "The Lord will provide." a lot. He basically told them "That's a bunch of hogwash!"
be self sufficient.
Ben Franklin is one of my heroes -- when people think of great men, the think of George Washington way before all the rest -- sorry -- ol' Geo. was almost just a figurehead -- had a charisma that got him into leadership positions -- wasn't a great general -- luck (Trenton) was with him (southern military leaders won the war) -- but seemed to be a pretty nice person (except for his attitude toward indigenous Americans).
Ben Franklin was pretty much of a genius, a forward thinking person, an inventor extraordinaire (electricity, Franklin stove, bifocals, etc.), one of the movers of the Revolution and the Constitution, etc. In essence, Franklin was very influential.
This might not be quite on the subject -- but kid, you did twerp a nerve there --

you are somewhat evangelical in your purpose here.
odd -- I need to know -- by your user profile, you do not come from such an evangelizing background, thus I conclude (rightly or wrongly) that you personally are departing from the religious paradigm you have grown up? in.
or have you embraced your present religion only recently?

Noah wasn't chosen because he was "special," he was chosen because HE WAS THE ONLY ONE LISTENING! SAME WITH MOSES, ELIJAH, DAVID AND THE REST. They were not "singled out by God;" they saw and heard God with their open eyes, open ears and open hearts. They answered the Lord: HERE I AM, I COME TO DO YOUR WILL.

You must have LOVE: It's THE ONLY cure for Evil. It's what will clear away the stains of disease from our spirits so we can defeat the enemy. ST PAUL, A SINNER WHOSE EYES WERE OPEN, TELLS US "LOVE NEVER FAILS!" 1 Cor 13:8 NAB It's in a house build with LOVE that will shield us all from the enemy, that will protect us from death...from SPIRITUAL death...for when the body dies, the fate of the spirit is sealed...The parasite knew this, and that's why he attacked our SPIRITS, not our BODIES. BUT THROUGH OUR BODIES WE CARE FOR OUR SPIRITS. We must use our bodies for LOVE, NOT PLEASURE; FOR PEACE, NOT WAR, as the battle is the LORDS. HE had already spit the parasite from his own mouth, and is waiting for us to shake him off of us. But WE MUST NEVER STOP FIGHTING THE DISEASE, FOR THE PARASITE ONLY NEEDS A TINY LITTLE CRACK IN THE ARMOR AND HE'S GOT YOU.

posted by Gheeghee on March 2, 2005 at 6:28 AM | link to this | reply

You must have HOPE: Hope that others will see as well, to keep you strong, to make you vigilent against the darkness of disease that we were cursed with upon our births...the disease inflicted upon us by a hateful parasite that wants us dead. We bust have hope that the existence of such a disease (called EVIL) CAN be overcome by our LOVE OF GOD and our LOVE OF NEIGHBOR.

posted by Gheeghee on March 2, 2005 at 6:21 AM | link to this | reply

You must have FAITH: Believe that there is more to this existence than yourself, than the physical. God DOES help those who help themselves, and we help ourselves by LOVING GOD and LOVING OUR NEIGHBOR. These are the only two things we must focus on doing, for it's what we were made to do.

This is the way of Nature...this is the way it is by design. In the end, three things remain: FAITH, HOPE, LOVE. Personal opinions are not one of these.

"A believer builds a house" The believer does not build the house alone...he/she relies on God, asking where every nail, every brick, every furnishing, every fixture must go to best serve Him. YES, SERVE HIM. We are not here to do anything but LOVE GOD, LOVE NEIGHBOR. We all build the same house, one of LOVE, one of UNITY. When man sticks his own plan in to play, or puts just one nail in the wrong place, the entire house crumbles. Nothing of Man can withstand the power of God, not even BLOGGERS.

Well kooka you may be right…

Let’s compare the two:

A believer builds a house…but who really built the house, and how do we know they did it?

A non-believer builds a house…but who really built the house, and how do we know they did it?

The statement “God helps those, who help themselves” seems to hold up. In either case, a house was built, and the “Truth” proves it was done. The Truth does help those that work with it…believers or not…

The statement did not say, “God only helps believers, who help themselves.”

As you have proven to me many, many times now, My eyes are wide open and seeing things very clear. You can not even see well enough to be aware of what you are saying in your comments. You have shown that you are very much confused about your own beliefs and are unable to defend those beliefs directly, but instead you felt the need to dance around the ideas and never give real answers. Just look at your poem there. It almost seems like you are a child putting her fingers in her ears and saying 'Nah, nah, nah ,nah, I can't hear you' because what is being said is something you do not wish to hear. My five year often pretend he does not hear us when it is something he does not wish to hear. Funny, I thought you were older than five.

Music stormed loudly
through the
narrow hallway
of my mind,
and when I
tried to block it out
with a
racket of my own
the clamor ricocheted
off the walls,
gaining speed,
pushing the limits
and I held my walls firm,
and still the noise
blasted through,
cracking the sheet rock,
shattering the windows,
and I held my walls firm,
and still the noise
blasted through,
tearing out casings,
sheet rock crumbling
piece by piece,
and I held my walls firm,
and still the noise
blasted through,
frame after frame
tumbling to it's
undeniable truth,
it's inevitable end
in a grotto of waste
and as the walls fell
I lost my strength,
for my voice was weak
against the music
I heard for the first time,
and gawking at
what's left of
my shattered wall,
I wonder how I was
content inside such a
weak structure.

And the sunlight burned my skin
pocked with disease,
my eyes weak from darkness.
The personal living hell club:
Everyone's already a member.

And from the depths of the rubble,
the pains of my despair
I cried out to the darkness,
HEAR ME!
And the parasite
gagged me with
words of the damned
and I writhed to get free,
and the parasite
gripped my heart
with users and usurpers
and I writhed to get free,
and the parasite
tied down my limbs
with poverty and hatred
and I writhed to get free,
and the parasite
raped me with his
lies disguised as love,
and I writhed to get free,
and the parasite
laughed in my face,
"who will save you now?"

And I remembered blue eyes
looking over me long ago,
the one that dawn showed me
when my eyes were open,
but my spirit so diseased
I couldn't reach for him.

After all my castles built with
rotted lumber and cracked stone
crumbled around me,
he was there,
waiting for me
to see.

and he wrapped me in his wings,
and with the lightning of his song he
stabbed the parasite with a mortal blow,
and rescued me from death.

"Angel of God, my guardian, dear,
to whom His love commits thee here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light, to guard, to rule, to guide."
