Cassandra, Yep, I know there are other forms of abuse. I think one counselor pegged mine as "neglect." I'd love to think that I can go on and form healthy relationships with my as yet to be born children. Who knows? I've witnessed enough horrible relationships to know you can't count on anything. I pray that my children will appreciate what I have to offer but who knows maybe they'll feel it's not good enough.

My family was fractured, but we had some means. My Mom's sister, they had a family, but no financial means. But no one really knows what goes on behind closed doors, I guess.

Taffy, there are many forms of abuse, not only sexual. I believe one's relationship with your parents is so important. I didn't have a very good one with mine, still don't. But that has only fueled my desire to have a better relationship with my boys.
