Non-believer?

When have you ever doubted the existence of Truth?

Maybe you doubt what others claim it to be…but do you really doubt that it exists?

“The Truth” is the only thing you fight for…and in fact, it is the only thing you care about.

Think about it…

You will be at number one, only as long as The Truth allows it to be so.

However, I really liked the post, and I am glad that you did not run for the hills.

I think that your desire
to write and be at the top of the religion category may tell some of us that you are not a non believer as much as a believer in an alternative religion.

Whenever you have an argument between someone who is ardent in their beliefs and a scoffer of belief itself, the winner is . . . the one who scoffs.

I believe ardently in Christ because he has made a significant difference in my life. That may seem like a fantasy to you, but I believe it is true. That you may not believe that I can have such a relationship doesn't mean that I am wrong and you are right. It may simply mean that there are ways of knowing other than that rational system that you use. I believe in reason also, but I don't believe that it is the only way of knowing. The problem with reason is that too many of his users pick and choose what they thing is reasonable. If it doesn't fit their criteria, then no amount of evidence is enough. There are more copies of the New Testament than any other text, but you will still find scholars who scoff at its reliability.

If one truly is a seeker, than he will admit when he finds something instead of constantly searching. I don't expect you to become a Christian or any other religous person, but perhaps if you were honest you would investigate instead of scoff. The stupidity of some of Christianities supporters is not evidence that Christianity is stupid.

maybe

there are more of us than anyone expected -- not non-believers, as they would have it be known, but seekers of the alternative

and if i categorized myself -- it wouldn't be as a non-believer and it wouldn't be as a believer -- it wouild be as a seeker -- and an explainer -- of the alternative.

just like the great prophets, those of us not accepting the accepted, must strive for the more valid.

we who seek are prophets.

Well I hope you continue to write your opinions here, as the commentaries refuting and challenging you are being read as well. Keep holding those high ranks, keep making those challenges. Thanks to you, the faithful now have a much larger audience through your comment section. Enjoy your pennies!

PEACE!

Disappointment, not Dissapointment

Jane's anal coment for the day.

Regarding your spot at the top of the pile --  you go, Gomedome.  This broad would be blogging her heart out at all hours of the day given the time.  So I'm jealous of the boundless time it seems you have, not your coveted spot at the top.  If you attribute this to your controversial topics -- hey, be my guest.  Whatever trips your trigger.  Being that I'm neither a white anglo-saxon male, nor an overly ambitious female, I could care less who's at the top of the heap.

I write more for pleasure or catharsis or for me.  I involve myself in the occasional generally fruitless argument on Blogit, but the pure joy for me of being on Blogit is about the art of writing.

So Gome, enjoy being an agnostic at the top of the Religion section. Carry on with that perpetual chip on your shoulder.  Whatever makes you happy. You likely won't die of hypertensive crisis since it would seem you don't keep all your anger and frustration bottled up -- you spill it out in your writing with these popular and controversial topics. Good for you!
