When the ego fades, and one looses all sense of time, they connect to the unaltered state of God. Time only passes in the altered world. It is the human perception that is altered (men created time)…the essence of God (his very root) has never changed…ever…

One does not alter their state to find God…they simply ignore who (and in what time) they are. They place their value in the timeless.

Thanks Ciel
The sensation of passing time seems to be tied more to emotion than reason.  A little suffering goes a long way.

V-ger, that's not such a strange question ! And yes, you can learn to

meditate in various ways.  The one I use begins with grounding and centering yourself.

I wrote a bit about grounding, back on Feb 1st.  That is the first step.  If you have questions about it, feel free to ask!  LE Grant's comment here is a useful image for getting centered, which is the second part.

In fact, I will post soon on how to meditate with the method I learned.

Thanks for your comment, LE Grant! That's a great metaphor--
I will remember it!  I agree with that guru, too.  I learned about centering, grounding, and 'owning' the bubble of personal space around me-- Somewhere around here, I wrote something about grounding...    It is gratifying to be reminded once again, we are all exploring the same elephant!

Dear Ciel, it's 11:40AM here, I had my morning coffe and brunch minutes ago, thank you! I wonder, is there a way one can be teached to meditate with yourself? Sorry for these apparantly strange questions, but I'm rather greenish in this!

V-ger, a cult would have a hard time holding you down!

Meditation is a tool used by nearly every spiritual practice or religion in one form or another.  It is a way of acknowledging the relationship between spirit and body.  It's like having quiet time between the parent (spirit) and child (body) where you shut the noisy world out for a while, just to get re-acquainted, and strengthen your bond.  At least, that's what some of us use it for.  Of course, not every parent and child have a happy relationship...

It's 2:30 here...  Are you just about ready for morning tea?

Back when I was studying yoga, I had a discussion with my Tibetan guru on "centering". His analogy was that it's rather like a parabolic mirror: your centre is the focal point - get there, and the whole universe is available to you, and you can affect everything in it. One can see how it works as one gets closer to the true focalpoint/ centre. And, if you focus outside yourself, then your power diminishes the further away you are form your centre. It still makes sense!

Dear Ciel, yes, when intensively blogging, time seem to pass ten times faster then usual. I'm a bit afraid that some of those religions, cults, meditations and so, can soon become some sort of brainwashing. That's why I actually always oppose to it. Maybe I should try meditating once, but with all my energy and passion, who knows if that can ever be controlled! Till soon!
