Hmmm, I've had three phone calls from the same energy company in the last week. Obviously they didn't understand the word "no" the first time...

Solicitors are the most irritating species on Earth
and I either claim that they have the wrong number or I have asked them "what are you wearing", followed by other personal questions. This usually gets them.

Credit Card Companies
always seem to be offering free stuff for nothing - I wonder how many people get caught out by not reading the fine print?

I hope to read more of your interesting stories. Have a nice evening.

Whacky, I was going to join the do not call list, but then I would have no callers at all.  I look forward to their sweet soft voices!  I don't listen to the message.

Some companies sell their customer records to others and this causes the cold calls. Hope the situation has improved for you.

The minute they start
in I just say I'm not interested. Also some of the dialing systems will have a pause before one of the sales people pick up. If I answer the phone and say hello and no one answers right away I hang up. I'm on the national no call listed, but the credit card companies have got a loop hole in that they say they are passing on important information to their customers.

All that calling you is a very bad policy.

It may help to have an unlisted number for a year. Sort of erases your record from the cold sales staff.

Made me smile here, yes, I get these calls once in a while. I amuse myself with it in always having a far too difficult question ready for them that they always seem to ignore to answer while they roll off their fabricated story. I love AJ's and Justsouno's responses too!! See you around!! VOYAGER9940

I Got One Of Those Recorded Salespeople Several Years Ago...

...and, when it got to the part about spelling my name out, I sang:

"MIC-KEY-MOUSE!" none too quietly!

Cheers!
