As the saying goes, cunninglinguist,
"you don't know what ya got, 'til it's gone." A much-overused and abused cliche about appreciation, true, but -- well, it's true. Also says something about lost potentialities.

that way for painters and sculptors for a LOOOOOOOOONG time. How 'bout that Van Gogh. Sold one painting to his brother in his life time...How many millions did his last painting of irises bring?
