In Paul's use of it,
it is a metaphor for everything that belongs to God as opposed to what belongs to Satan. It should make one recall the light of the Easter candle.

I'm curious. When you refer to the Light, what are you referring to?

Light is only sometimes particles. Sometimes it is wave-like.

Maybe from the perspective of spiritual light, but that is about it.

you sound like the old Manichaeans. We are not particles of the Light, if that is what you mean. And God is not Light.

I think we are a part of the light. We long to return to the light. Light, and Love, are God.

I think we are creatures of light, in metafor and science. And of cours, if God doesn't see it, it doesn't exist. It's a long way back, but you might enjoy my interpretation of Psalm One.
