Like I said I understand.  I got it......it was merely a statement, not directed at you.  Alls well in the house of insanity

Lady

True a statement like that would be discrimatory in society today.  I was just trying to share a little history.  We often here statements such as "over the hill", on the wagon, out to lunch, short of a full load, bun in the oven etc.  I like to know where these daily statements - figures of speech originated from.  It was not intended to insult anyone.  If you found it to be offensive my apologies.  I am not looking for a battle just clicks.

Apparently you're looking for a battle because I didn't say YOU are a bigot, I said that "jewing down" is a bigoted statement.  Whether Jews said it themselves or not, it is.  I understand as part of history it was used.  Just like in Tom Sawyer "injun" was used.  But as someone who is half Jewish I was just saying that it isn't a statement that can be made today.  Relax!
