yeah, Mickey kept saying he'd take in Chase and I could stay home, and I said, no way.. I need him to know he can count on me and I'm there for him.  But Mickey was going to hold him during the  shots.. you know what happened??  I held him, while Mickey was making him a bottle!  ha hah a

thanks MsOC..
no.. the doc. doesn't do the shots.. it's a nurse that does..  but i never asked the reason behind it, but it makes alot of sense that the doc's dont want to be associated with needles!!

Yep, just as painful for Mom as it is for baby, if not more so. What a darling baby boy! Congratulations.

Did the doctor or nurses give them?  Our ped won't give them because she doesn't want our son to associate her with the needles!!  I know he is too young for an ice cream to make it all better, but Mommy isn't!!  He is too sweet!

Whenever we had shots at my dr's office, TWO nurses would come in
and administer the shots (each in a diff leg) at the same time.  It goes sooo much quicker.  He's beautiful!

aaaahhh MerryAnne ....
i feel for you....  Chase turned purple too.  I think the nurse almost cried as she said, let him breathe, i'm thinking.. i have no real control over this, i'm not the one holding my breath... ugh..  poor girl!

Aww...it really is cruel...
...no wonder we grow up hating doctor's visits! Love the photos! :)

I remember with my first
baby that I cried all the way home from the clinic. She was fine... I was a mess. With Emily she cried so hard she held her breath until she turned purple. The nurse just kept jabbing her, since getting her calmed down just to poke her again would have been even more cruel. Man you should have seent he look she gave that nurse when she was done! LOL!

Poor baby!  Both of you......I hated those damned shots.  At least there aren't as many the older he gets.  I remember that scream, it was almost like a betrayal.  Poor thing.
