Comments on Giving America Away

The competition to be the cheapest supplier is incredible.  I've heard stories too about how Walmart (especially) would contract services with a cheap provider then come back in 6 months or a year and threaten to take their business elsewhere because it was still cheaper.  For awhile they just keep lowering the prices, but eventually they can't afford to go any lower.  The really sad thing is that in the meantime they have ruined their own economy by throwing all their resources (land, people, etc) at this big opportunity from Walmart, so when Walmart leaves, they can't even go back to their previous source of income (farming, or whatever because they used up the resources trying to keep Walmart happy.)

Sighhh, an American flag pin made in China?  I hope we never have to go to war with them, who would make the pins then?

I got disgusted when I picked up a pin of the American flag and it said 'made in China.' We have such a giant snowball, no one can stop it. Our governments sold out their people for big corporations. The day of reckoning is coming with economic collapse. I hope enough small farmers exist. I doubt those corporate farms will plant without their government hand-outs.

Alas we are mere mortals

I loved all the comments about my latest.........I have many more hehehe !!!  This is just the tip of the so called iceberg, especially when it's one of those cranky days when nothing seems to go right.......which is quite often the case.  One comment referred to us as ants waiting for the other shoe to drop........I found that visual hilarious, kinda reminded me of watching the Friendly Giant on TV when I was ahem......a toddler.  I've often thought what we would look like being observed by some alien life form...would they find us funny?  They would be scratching their heads, that is if they had heads.  Personally I like people watching but it's a bit disturbing to think that maybe we are the ones being watched and observed.  Wouldn't they find it funny that we are giving pills by shrinks for the mere mention of having seen one so we don't run around crying..........They're hereeeeeeee!!!  I've often passed by people who seem to have a strange aura about them, something just a bit off kilter and I begin to wonder.........is he one?

I dream a lot but so far aliens have not invaded my dreams so I better not think too much on this or I may end up with a visitation tonight.  If I do, you'll be the first to know!!!

Dark Dreamer, just reading you
for the first time. I checked your member profile and see you are living in Austria. I remember my first visit there when the dollar was way up and the the Austrian shilling was way down. I bought a lot of leather stuff real cheap. I did it without thinking. Now I spend more with politics in mind. But the problem is that the BUSHIES passed a bill that would no longer require corporations to label with "country of origin". I don't hear any conservatives screaming about that. They want to take what little power we have away from the consumer.

Dark Dreamer

I have seen what you are talking about here my friend. Perhaps because I am older I  see things a bit differently.

The 'have nots' of the world have to come to the water in the desert sometime. I think it is all in the greater plan by the grand Master of it all.

We cannot be yapping about freedom, justice, equality and God-and then lay the blame on corporate America for looking for better profits elsewhere and loss of employment here.

I think loss of employment in North America also has something to do with our own individual greed and there is a price to pay for that.

If we don't want to work for the Wal-Marts for low wages-then people of other countries will do that work.

It is time for us here in North America to start downsizing our own lives. I didn't own a house until I was in my thirties and it cost $14,500.00.

My daughters are on their second, third or fourth house now and they cost upwards of $250,000.00.

Corporate profits can't be expected to keep feeding our own personal greed I don't think.

Good post luv.

We humans are about to build a Prosperity Engine based on artificial intelligence -- but who will own it? Giant corporations, or every human being?
