I think to many disect God and what people should be.
I believe God created creation. But what is Gods being made of? Is it just an Emnity? I believe God is made up of Angels good and bad. Negative side and a positive side. We need both to surviive.Man is another part of God .

'only?' 'him?' In my corner of the Universe, these are non sequiters.
God is too vast and inclusive to be held to any limiting designation like male or female; This is just another hold-over to a half-vast cultural assumption of Middle and Near Eastern origins, that came in with the patriarchs, along with the notion that gods want the same kinds of things that kings want.
As to 'only...' If the Divine is Everything, as, in my corner of Reality, It is, then it goes without saying that we are, like everything else, part of and an expression of the Divine. This does not make us God, mind you, nor privy to God's Plan, Will or Desires. Here, the word 'hubris' applies.
