This reminds me of my most recent GYN experience
which was surprisingly entertaining and I would never have thought of writing about it until I saw your post. Perhaps if more women talked about it it would not be so traumatic?  Or maybe just giving birth makes everything else fall short of embarrassing...

Hi Justso --
this generally is an experience that most women don't look forward to.  I, for one, wish to do everything possible to make it easier for my patients.  As I'm doing the exam I try to find out what their hobbies are, if they're in school or students. . . and before you know it, the exam is done and less traumatic than they thought.  If that one young girl had even attempted to relax, it would have been so much easier for her.  Anyway, thanks for commenting -- Justsouno -- yer a luv.

Jane's O, that is such a nice informative post.
It is so good to know that there are doctors and nurses who do care. I have not had any bad experiences, only read of them, etc.,  I see in  a million ways how much you truely care for your patients. It is awesome, a great part of the healing process I think . I am an adult and I still have dread moments about going to the doctor for anything. It is the most private relationship in your life that is really very impersonal, not an intimate one in the sense of care that you have shown.
