Some folks like symmetry. Balanced composition of everything. Don't worry.

Hi SYMPHONY!

Yeah I know what you mean. I was lucky though much of my compulsive behavior was internal.

It was an odd sort of challenging that must have given me some sort of adrenaline rush. I would set a mental task against a set physical marker. If I was running down the sidewalk while clacking a stick against the fence pickets I might get the 'feeling' that something terrible would happen if I couldn't finish counting to five hundred by twenties before my stick ran out of fence. Or If I was walking a few blocks I would become engrossed in sidewalk crack hopping. There had to be line under every step I took. Other quirks that were entirely internal. I was alraedy considered weird enough. I never ever told anyone this before.

If I had shown any more oddity of behavior I might have ended up medicated in a psych ward somewhere. I always felt a special kinship to all of my brothers and sisters whose quirks were very public and obvious. Those of us with so-called mental disorders are merely different. Why has harmless eccentricity not yet become celebrated the way it should be.

I'll stop posting now. Manboy.

I'm a clean freak!
I pick up little crumbs off the counter or floor, bits of fluff off the carpet...and everything has to smell fresh in my house..sometimes I have to kick Steve out!    But it does sound like a very mild case of OCD Symph...I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it upsets you to the point where you are fretting over things that aren't just so.

There is a tv show here in the
States called Monk. He is an obsessive compulsive dtective. You think you've got problems. He's a real mess.

LOL...I'm the same way, but not to that extent.  Or at least, I hope not!!  You'd have to ask my roommate about that though.

Take care...Try not to let things drive you too crazy!!

God bless.

I remember looking up OCD because I think I have it to a degree... I forget what the main cause of it is though.  Back to the internet I go!

Symph...
If I'm waiting for a date to arrive and he's the slightest bit late, I become convinced he isn't going to show up and I'm in a frenzied state of pacing until he gets there! I hate,, I mean HATE being late or waiting. Then again, I figure I'm that way because I've been abandoned by both parents at different points in my life. Thanks mom and dad LOL.
