Awesome description.  It really draws me in, makes me feel like I know you, and that I want to get to know you better.

It sounds like you are just trying to be yourself
and doing a great job of it! I remember being just like that and then I got comfortable with my surroundings and stayed that way. I can't always please myself or my inlaws, but I always give it my best shot.

In your post, you keep a nice rythm with words. You sound young and still looking for a place to fit into society. Best of luck and lots of money. You seem happy.

Tigerprincess,

It sounds like you can sum it all up with one word: passion.  Passion to live fully.  It's interesting that passion means "pain"  and compassion means "suffering with".  I'm free associating here, but living passionately means a willingness to suffer the waves of emotion to feel alive and authentic, and find the true self God wants you to be.  I don't want to settle for anything less, either.

The main part of
what you said, is just be me. That's what we all should be striving for, to be ourselves, not what someone else wants or expects us to be. Don't worry as long as there are writers like you with great stuff to read the moon will be sticking around.

You remind me of me...

when I was your age. All dreams are possible in youth as long as you concentrate your energies in the direction that is most important to you.

I have a five octave range and sang all through high school, won awards and even a scholorship to a music college. But I turned it down. I wanted to be a pop singer (i also wanted to get married for the first of three times). But something happened along the way. Maybe I got cynical or maybe I got cautious but my hobby, writing, which I had been doing professionally (getting paid for ) since I was 13 became my all consuming passion.

I also wanted to be a clothing designer (there are not enough designers really taking the needs of the plus sized woman to heart). I wanted to get into politics, but I figured out that I was not suited to it because fake people and playing the game really piss me off. I have worked as a stand up comedianne but never really pursued it the way I should so I didn't go as far as I could.

I am rambling (which us old folks do ) but the point I am making is that you need to focus on one of the many goals you have and give it your all.

I am not in politics, but I run a non profit and much of the work I do is political. I never became sucessful as a stand up comedieanne but my humor has made my writing better. I didn't become the next Mama Cass, but I still please my loved ones with my singing. I never became a fashion designer but I am the best dressed fat lady I know. I became a writer because I concentrated all my efforts and energy toward it.

Success is doing one thing well and everything else falls into place. Success in one area breeds success in everything else.

And on the topic of being a wife, when you are happy with yourself that is when your relationship with your husband will be at it's best.
