Dear Symphony
This was the best read I've had in years. Your heart just came off that page in your personal language. I saw you, all your love for your Mum, and your rage for the system (I don't care for socialized medicine). I spent the day with you. It was charming. I shall pray for your Mum. God is already working in her life. There are no accidents, your Dr. Montgomery did not just happen by you are so very right you had a miracle today. Be blessed dear one.

Symphony,
Kindness heals the heart. Bless that doctor for stopping and listening to you, and I'll bet you anything he pulled some strings to get your mum into surgery. And your cousin, for looking after the kids. There's people looking out for you. Boy, do I know how it feels to be at the end of your rope: snapping at everyone, feeling numb and disconnected (like your head belongs on someone else).
I'm glad you slept well and had a good strong cup of tea. Whoever it is here on Blogit that's harassing you had better watch their step.

yes thats true Ben
and I would love for her to stay here...I would really like to look after her...its like returning the favour.......my house is noisy because of the children....but I am even thinking she would like that....as she has not had much time with them lately

The surgical wound would be very painful during recovery of maybe 2 months. She would need someone to attend to her meals & etc. Better a noisy house than struggling with every step to move and help oneself.

SYMPHONY - I can really feel the impotence you are feeling as I am going through that with my son and my daughter-in-law. It is so sad to be able to do nothing. I feel like I am frozen in time, like I have brain freeze or something. I feel like it is effecting all parts of my life because I am so focused on them and what they need and I can't supply.

Awesome!!
That's such great news!
My dad was hospitalized for three weeks before he had his gallbladder taken out. He was in so much pain I hardly recognized him. Luckily, I was only in fourth grade so I didn't really get how bad things were. I learned later he almot died because he was so sick...
