Comments on walking among six-foot fishes

Yep, you got me on that one.
Unfortuanately, all we have here in Tucson are man made lakes, unless you count the Rillito River, which is nothing more than a dried up wash. Can't wait to get back up north where the real lakes are! Once we get the well done, we plan on putting in a little lake of our own and keeping it stocked. That'll be some time yet, thank goodness one never gets too old to fish!

you're welcome.
Most people say they don't eat them, just like to catch them for the fight of it. The biggest I caught was 2 feet, although at the lake we go to, there was a dead one there that must have been four feet long and looked about 2 feet wide!
The best way I've found to prepare them is to use a meat grinder after fileting them, that way you can't detect all those fine bones.

as you may or may not recall, I'm a pretty avid fisherwoman
myself. And I have about 15 carp (some cat and bluegill too)in the freezer to show for it. Did anyone ever tell you the trick for preparing carp? It has got to be the boniest fish alive!
That was a nice little tale you told.
As I've got about two days left here, I wanted to again tell you that I've enjoyed our conversations (for the most part) and that you and your son will remain on my prayer list. Take care and blessings to you!
