JJ, it's as a noun. And besides,
I thought we were working through your little "problem" of hiding under the bed. I see we have more work to do.

One other thing.....
When you say ''you rock,'' are you using rock as a verb or a noun? That one tiny detail can make the difference whether I sleep in peace or crawl under the bed.

Well, Spiff...
I happened by again. I can't remember exactly how I got here, but here I am. I think I bent my mind falling off the roof, or something like that. Something is wrong, or I wouldn't even be up at this hour.
You know, I think you trick me into repeatedly coming back with your ''after JJ leaves'' comment replies. Not that I mind. You are one of my favorites around here. I did a post the other day and have another almost ready, so feel free to stop by and make fun.

Spiff
Sheriff Joe is Republican and conservative. That's enough in itself to set our local Dems against him. In addition, he's kind of a Wyatt Earp type. Local Dems want ''a kinder, gentler, kissassier'' Sheriff. It's the old ''Mr. Sweetguy'' personality issue. The Dems want an Alan Alda type for Sheriff--Joe thinks that if someone is a fuckoff you bust 'em and pitch 'em into the tank. Hardly what you would call ''Aldaesque'' thinking.
Don't get my political stance wrong. I am offended by the shallow minded, irrational, and near thoughtless regardless of their nationality, native language, race, creed, color, religion, gender, sexual preference, or political party.

In AZ, County Sheriff Joe sure can bust 'em
Sherriff Joe Arpaio does it regularly. That was where I saw the videos of cock fighters getting hauled off. (Does the word Cock define the chickens, or the fans?)
None of the Democrats around here like Joe. I guess he's supposed to be doing pre-flight checks for rich kids who fly Beemers through the air for a hundred yards then come in for a six roll landing. Instead, what does he do? He busts shitasses, leaving luxurious Scottsdale homes without groundsmen. Then, next thing you know, he pops some rich guy for driving while fully tanked, and he can't buy his way off. ''He was just on his way home.''

Well I'm sure I don't have to tell you that I agree with you! Things like that make me wish that our officers had the authority to serve warrants and make arrests, like the ASPCA officers in New York.

ThomasF, I know.
I am careful. I have only one dog left since Britt died and I don't leave her out in the back yard unsupervised cause she eats "things." I trained Brittany to never take food from strangers, but it's still easy for someone to shoot a dog. Wow. If someone shot my dog I would definitely wind up in prison for murder and be forced into being some butch's wife. Yikes.

Of course, Rach.
I did last year and again the other day. Probably a slap on the wrist. They are getting a little tougher on animal cruelty but not enough for my liking.

Go Spiffie......
AZ is more of a cockfighting state. Same shitbag attendees. I don't know what kind of sewer the scumbags crawl out of, but most of them are Hispanic illegals. I certainly won't malign an entire people based on a few lowlifes, but unfortunately I think a good part of the animal cruelty comes from a cultural tradition that goes back probably beyond glorious bullfighting. That all loops us back to the the courageous, romantic, matadores of gran machisimo--and (let me see if I can say it without puking) the male ego. (I only puked a little that time; kind of a burp-puke). Humanity--ain't it cute?
