Oh, Sweetheart! I am so sorry! You and your family are in my prayers. My parents died when I was young, and I miss them terribly to this day. I believe that your brother is in the welcoming arms of God and all of the kind souls who have crossed over. Eventually, we'll all be there to hug him. In the meantime, please continue to be the brave, smart, and a talented writer you are! Every time your niece looks at you, that is what she'll see. What a strong, capable young woman she will become - thanks to you!

I just logged on after being away for a day or two. I am saddened for you. And I will pray for all of you. Your brother sounds like my Uncle Ray who passed away when I was seven. He was a mischievous one too.

Sisters have a really hard time with this. I am so glad you are getting your pain into words. I lost two sons in two different auto accidents. They had a sister my only daughter and now only child. She kept it all bottled up and had a really difficult time going through all of it. She is doing well now but you are doing a healing thing. God bless you little one. I shall pray for peace, comfort and a return of joy to your heart.

I know what its like all too well to lose someone you love. I wish I had something to say to make it better. But I know there is nothing. Be well and strong and know you are still here to speak of that wonderful person, to carry on that beautiful life thru words. Mia,
having cared for many head injury patients as a nurse in intensive care, I have a very good comprehension of your brother's injuries. I can honestly say that I believe his suffering and pain before death was minimal. I realize that's of little comfort to all of you who are grieving, although I hope it may help some. I am so sorry for your loss.

if you have haunting images of your brothers death, replace it quickly with an image of beauty like you described. I had afriend killed in an auto accident. I kept seeing her in the most awful light. A counselor taught me the technique about pushing out the traumatic image...It helped me a lot. Love, mysteria
