Taps, thanks for speaking up. I enjoy your posts too. I think I get tied
up too, trying to cover too much ground!

kingmi - I just read your last four posts here (I'm way behind in my reading on Blogit).    Good work here.   You make a lot of good points.   I get so tired of all the Bush bashing that continues from many sides.  Keep writing.

thecasualobserver, brilliant not only from a tactical military and politica
l viewpoint, but brilliant from a global perspective.  A thriving Iraq, connected to the world's economies will bring more relief to an oppressed people, and a vision to the rest of theArab community.

I like W's plan, take the war to the terrorists, don't fight it on our soil. The overthrow of Iraq was brilliant (not a word normally associated with (GWB), Al Queda was forced to fight our troops on our terms, we deposed a dangerous dictator and we assisted the Iraqi's intallation of a free and democractic society right smack dab in the center of Muslim extremism. BRILLIANT!!!!

kingmi I like this post. there's no surgical precision about what we're
doing but no one sane could argue this administrations policies haven't made a difference.  In hind sight I'm realizing that perhaps I was wrong in my early opposition.  There are some hard questions we need to hold people accountable for but as for your detractors on here, well, some people will never be happy with a tough decision and thats healthy too.

Moondawg, Yea you're probably right. I haven't finished the book yet --
savouring it!

On the question of
TWA flight 800, it seems that if it had been a terrorist action, some group would have jumped in to claim resposibility, that is the only reason I've ever questioned the missile theory. About the rest I have to agree. But you know why they were late night pizza eaters don't you? Of course they never inhaled or snorted or any of those other things.

fwmystic, Thank you for commenting. I was just trying to point out that
we had been attacked all throughout the 90's and that mostly happened on Clinton's watch.  But you are right that the 9/11 happened (only 8 months) into Bush' term.

reni3, Oh, OK. I just re-read what I wrote. You were clear. Thanks for
commenting.  I'm dumb!

Turn the argument around ...
9/11 didn't happen on Clinton's watch. It happened on Bush's. And you know damn well that the Republicans would have pinned the soft of terrorists label even more than they have if Gore would have been in office.

Without the ability to elaborate at the moment (rugrats around)...I don't
think Bush's plan is necessarily working.  However, maybe I should also add that I think the democrats would have fared even worse...

Reni3, Thank you for reading! What do you disagree with?

Kingmi--I disagree, but can follow your logic--which is refreshing to
see in  a post like this.  Good post.

Chris2303, Sorry, you misread. I wrote about Americ'a attitude toward them
And I only go by what I read in the papers.  The CIA thinks they exist, so I believe it!

Al Queda
You talk about the attitude of the Al Queda...are you certain that such a "network" even exists?

George Busch and Cheney and Rummie are committing heinous war crimes in Fallujah, Najaf and other parts of Iraq.
