Hee hee .. that is a brilliant idea! "Pigeon feathers in your pocket: The new cure for arthritis sufferers" .... Thanks for returning ...Going to read some of your posts right this very second ...

P.S. a hairless cat is a scarey looking animal, if that doesn't scare away the pigeons it will surely scare away other things. Maybe start a trend and really sell pigeon feathers as some cure all for something. I can see it now.. popups for pigeon feathers that naturally do....something, Its a million dollar marketing idea with unlimited supply of product

LOL! Thanks for commenting. Ya, these little beasts are driving me batty. I didn't realize how many people feel the exact same way. So the owls don't work eh?

posted by Dark_Dreamer on February 3, 2005 at 2:59 AM | link to this | reply

Sky rats are not really birds they are spies and dirty gargoyles so it's OK to take the beebee gun to them. You could get an air gun and scare them day and night, about forty times a day should make them go away. Or those four inch spikes on the windowsill. I would caution against rat poison they smell really bad when they die inside the vents of the roof. They are too dumb to be frightened by those plastic owls.

I used to work at a place that had a major pigeon problem. You just don't want to know what they did to solve the problem.

DarkDreamer

How about a nice pussycat to sit on the ledge luv.

Inside even, looking out the window at the sky rats may do the trick.

See what ya wanna do is make 'em all paranoid like me

Falcon eh? Very interesting ... I bet the pigeon (sky rat) breeders really dislike those Falcons ...

In NYC, where the pigeon problem is truly out of hand, there is Pale Male, a peregrine falcon who has taken up residence on the outskirts of Central Park. He has been regularly breeding, and teaching his offspring to go and hunt down both the 'Sky Rats' (as pigeons are regularly referred to), and ground bound rats. Besides setting out poison (which isn't a good idea) I honestly can't think of a solution.

Dark Dreamer, the last time I tried to get rid of a pigeon it ended up
kicking another persons ass.   Actually, it was hilarious.

No wrinkles ...sighhh .... Maybe I should get a pet cat? Although I wouldn't want my new companion to get hurt trying to jump out of my now, very clean windows after the window hogging buzzards

Dear beauty Dark_D, all that work this afternoon, did you get the wrinkles out of the sheets also? LOL! Well, here in Belgium we have lots of those flying fortresses too, but in my yard... no way! I have two very active tomcats and they clear the whole neighbourhood of mice, frogs, rats and pigeons!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Your newly waxed car???? That really sucks!

posted by Dark_Dreamer on January 30, 2005 at 7:28 AM | link to this | reply

Dark Dreamer

I have a remedy:

Crush one Alka Seltzer tablet into a folded piece of bread.  Once consumed the pigeon will quite literally blow up, meaning the little sky rat won't be able to take a dump over your newly waxed car.
