Try a Kahuna massage, to start with - two hours and then some, if yu can find a practitioner. Then when you are relaxed enough, look up Feldenkrais and its ATM (Awareness Through Movement) techniques, which you can do yourself. I've found that it helps with most back pains, especially when one starts to strengthen the "anti-gravity" muscles. Pilates also works as an exercise, if you get someone who's beyond the purely physical exercises and into the real levels.

LOL...Best of luck to you. My back is in near constant pain, so I understand completely how you're feeling right now. I hope you find some type of alternative therapy that works for you soon. God bless.
