Sex and money . We should have a human rights gaurantee of free healthy
orgasms every day! Put an end to a lot of this hurtful porn if we had healthier attitudes from day 1.
This Mother has adopted a stance that we would not agree with. We have intergenerational crews running growops out here.

firstly, to have a 14 year old posing nude, is child pornography.. plain and simple. it's sad. if this girl doesn't have a low esteem right now, she will by the time she is 18, thanks to her mother. it's obvious her mother is trying to live through her daughter, or maybe she had some screwed up situations in life, and thinks her daughter needs toexperience them to.
as for the child beauty pagents.. it's a sad, sad world. these parents dress up these little girls to look like cover models, and young ages. 7 years old. i could only image what skin condition these little girls will have when they hit thier late 20s thanks to all the gunk the mothers put on them. yes, those little girls are treated like adults. they look like them, act like them. and ultimately it leads to a life style of travelling, glamour, sex and drugs... and alot of them don't make it out well.

Yes they have pagents for little
girls here. Joan Ramsey, the little girl that her parents were implicated in the murder of, was one of these girls. From the video that the news media showed it looked pretty much like an event for pedofiles. Our kids are being forced to grow up far to fast. Too many parents want their children to be stars of one kind or another, because they feel they missed out. There is a difference between guiding a child and forcing a child.

Most parents would push for the education. Some still encourage beauty, sports, or minor recreation like chess.

I left off her last name - Ramsey. JonBenet was her first name. Such a brutal, gruesome tragedy. Personally, I find it impossible to believe her parents could have committed such a horrible crime, though I do think they were very wrong about the pagaents. A little angel in heavenly peace, one hopes and prays.

Kids and right values
I agree that instilling kids with the right values is the place to begin. We all have a role in that though. The old saying "it takes an entire village to raise a child" still holds true, it's just so sad that with the hectic pace and so many people, we rarely have that happening anymore.
Parents need to be parents, adults who behave responsibly and treat their children with love and respect.
In the Benet-Ramsey case, that poor little girl was made up like Dolly Parton and paraded around like a miniature woman. No arrests have been made in her murder yet but her father has not been ruled out as a suspect.

You could google and find all kinds of information about it. It is so tragic, she was killed in her home on Dec.26, 1996 I think.(year may be wrong) Right after Christmas. Her parents were under suspicion for a long time; some to this day believe they did it. Others blame the beauty pageants. Nobody has ever been arrested.

Most products are sold with good looking women. Those who start young
probably have the most poise and a jump up on a job. Since I know of just one real horror story, the Jon Benet one, among millions of girls, I am not sure where the harm lies. It gets down to instilling the right values in the kids.

Good post and points

Have you heard of the Jon Benet murder case Symphony? She was in beauty contests from the age of three or four and some feel that led to her death at six. She would be dressed in skimpy outfits and made up like a grown woman. So hard to understand mothers such as these; my mothering instinct has always been to protect and keep perverts away, not draw them to my child.

Symph---OOOH MYYY GOOOD...I guess I'm not such a bad mom after
all. And yes, beauty pageants for little girls do exist here in the States. They start a birth, actually. Around 3 they start to get weird, though. The girls wear tons of makeup, have their hair done and wear some pretty bizarre outfits.
