Taps, I have no problem with immigrants coming to this country as we did
where I worry is that terrorists could pose as immigrants so easily. thanks for your nice comment!

Kingmi - On the 1,940-mile southern border of the US, 9,539 Border Patrol agents were assigned in 2003. At that time the southern border had 4,733 customs, immigration and agricultural inspectors. The agents and inspectors on our southern borders battle a flood of undocumented immigrants, along with alien and drug smugglers, while examining $250 billion in annual cross-border trade — and checking for terrorists and weapons of mass destruction. Those officers have made more than 14 million arrests since 1993 and took into custody 1 million people for 2003 alone — about 2,800 a day. No telling what will be the figures for 2005. I do not know where the answer lies. I have worked with illegal immigrants in the past on the West Side of KC where Hispanics arrive from the rail yards. I have taught their preschool children to speak English so they could go to public school. I have concern for their plight.
