Sounds like it was worth the shivers.
Yes, being prepared is a great idea. I think blankets are recommended in cars for winter months, in case of break downs. Would have come in handy at the game.

The cold and I do not get along. I would have sworn that I was dying! There aren't enough blankets in the world to sit through 4 hours of agony.
