yes it is amazing that someone could be so harsh with his or her parents. Obviously, I don't know the whole story; there likely is more to it, but I was saddened watching this relatively powerless couple.

Wow
I can't believe any adult daughter could be that harsh on her parents. My parents are disabled, so I always think twice before getting angry. Personally when I go to the grocery store I feel a little guilty becuase I always use my debit card, and I'm always one of those that slow up the line. Then I remember that the person before me wrote a check and checks take longer to clear.

Glad to hear I am not the only one who chooses the wrong lane.
I think the slowest payment method is for those folk who utilize WIC payments. I feel compassion for them since they surely know it takes longer to deal with their separate WIC items, and usually they buy other items too which must be paid for separately, and I would imagine for some it's embarrassing for them to have to use WIC/foodstamps.

I always fee guilty...
when I have to write a check. It seems like those dreams where you are on the railroad track and a train is bearing down. My pen gets heavy and moves as if the ink were molasses in January as the people behind me are jogging in place. At least now I know why they jog.
