maj, maybe it'll be just the right size for an old dog to climb, by the

time he is too old to climb very high....environmental impact.

My back is killing me today. I asked strangers to kill me today as I did errands, unavoidable appointments, etc. when I should have been in a drug induced coma, my back, my back.....but there were no takers....and I have no real drugs and I hate them anyway, you get stoned and hurt the same.  So, I tried to nap and that didn't work, just one pinpointed morphine shot into the upper central left hip, thanks....anyone??!?!??!?

I don't know what I did to bring this on, I usually know, moving that sofa, etc. well, I did fight with a rain swollen gate yesterday, hmmmmmm.

maj, I'm sure that your beagle loves it !!! When my father died, I carted

rocks from Mom's house and formed them into a walkway called Puma's Path (we called Dad 'Puma'). The leftover huge rocks, I tossed into a short rock pile, only about eight boulders, but just enough to allow Makeda to step up onto them and not fall, and then see over the wall, a low one. She loves it, goes straight there when she hears noises in the street.

Every dog needs its lookout point or minor  mountain top. I used to sit on the roof as a kid, so I know how great it is to have one. You have a very lucky dog.

"Mount Fletcher"

We have the remnants of mucho yards of soil dumptrucked into our backyard in a pile. Our beagle Fletch appropriated this as his domain, and is just above eye level of the neighbors who use the communal mail box about twenty feet from the pile.

Odd, isn't it, that when introduced to them , the neighbors know us as the house with the beagle?
