Symphony, my inspiration for writing springs up from my own desire
to get to know myself better. I'm in love with human nature, but I am the only subject willing to open up to me for an interview! lol !!!

Most anything can be
something for me to write about. When I'm not sure what I want to put in a certain blog, or have no idea. I often just start with a sentance and see where it goes. A lot of the time I will erase the start, because in starting the thinking process I will find something that I want to say.

Great article. Very informative and interesting. That struggle to be better...to paint a picture with our words is sooooo amazing. It feeds my soul.

Symphony,
Good question. What inspires me most is the mystery of what's inside, deciphering my own reactions to the world, to continue my quest for healing, connecting, and coming fully alive. Thank you for your warm thoughts on post. I haven't been blogging as much lately, but will get back and comment more.

Symph,
keep a little notebook and a pencil beside your bed and just jot down a few words about the ideas you have. Often just a couple of words can jog your memory and then you can write your masterpiece!

Symp--I have always enjoyed reading, which I think is the first need of a
writer. Reading Henry Miller as a young man I thought for the first time of how each person's life is a novel which could be written if he or she had the time and energy and some basic skills. Surely none of us but who has lived a novel worth reading. if

My motivation just comes from within me. If I'm not writing, I'm obsessing
about the fact that I'm not writing.

Symph...
My best emotion to write with is my sense of humor. It comes before all else.

symph,
I have those writer's block moments at times too...but I simply let go of "wanting to write" and do something else, usually something physical. Then, like you, the urge to write comes 'round again...it's simply a cycle...
