I know the feeling of trying to do as you did. My niece had a friend over
last week. They made noise until 4 a.m. I got up and did my best to make some noise around 7 a.m. They slept through it all. My wife was up with the most of the night and she did not wake up either. They got up around noon. I was done with all my work by the time they got up.

So far the day is not beginning on a wonderful note. Of course that could be due to the 3 hours sleep I got when the boys finally settled down at 3am. I tried to make as much noise as I could when getting ready for work, but it didn't wake them up. Grrrrrr
