Hello, Symphony...
I just read your blog. The best thing you can do for your mum (and for yourself) is to talk to her doctor or doctors immediately...If she is in that much pain, it's rediculous for her to wait. I've been hospitalized several times myself, so I understand my anxiety. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. LOL

Symphony
Do you remember the advice I gave you recently about talking to the doctor? Take a look at that again and do it. Take care

an idea Symph
I think you should schedule a visit with your Mom's doctor and say it would be much less expensive to the NHS if they operated NOW instead of her taking up a bed for days and days each time she has an attack.
They obviously don't care about the human aspect (ie. your Mom is in lots of pain) so try appealing to their budget !
If they zip her gall bladder out, she'll have a few days in hospital and then be right as rain again after a while at home recuperating.
If you need us bloggers to help you rabble rouse let me know and I'll organize a posse !!
Take care Symph,

Sometimes the pain is worst for us
than the loved one. We feel so helpless. The best thing you can do is be there and provide as much comfort as you can. Distract her from what it taking place by talking about other more pleasant things. Hope all goes well.

Wow S~ I'm sorry to hear you are going through any pain... I can completely relate, with the baby's jaundice and vsd... it's definately a struggle when you are completely powerless. I wish all the best for your mom and you... Hang in there!!

Oh Sweetie, I'm sorry.
I know that there is nothing more frustrating than having a loved one suffer and not being able to do anything about it. Hang in there.

Hope your mom feels better.
I hope you can convince them to move up the surgery. Why are they waiting so long, anyway?

Symph...
All you can do is be there for her and it sounds like that's exactly what you are doing. Don't worry about blogit, good grief, no apologies are needed when it comes to times like this. Take care.

symph,
I feel for you...I'm so sorry that you are having such a struggle with this...it is hard to be an advocate for your mother when the medical community is not cooperating. Hang in there....I do hope your mother will be pain free soon...wishing her well and for you, peace.
